The autumnal equinoctial week has passed and we can feel a cool breeze in the mornings and evenings. We have only one month left in the wind furnace season.

Today, started using a new chashaku. It is a chashaku made of black bamboo shaved for practice. It has a modest mottled view on the top of the joint.

The flowers on the alcove are American pokeweed, great burnet, and celosia argentea in a bamboo basket vase.

As for sweets, prepared “Kuri Kinton (chestnut dumplings)”(Shinsyu Satonoka Koubou, Nagano).
