Lesson Blog Dec 7th, 2024

At the begining of December, the yellow leaves of the gingko trees are shining well against the blue sky. Today's practice was held in the Japanese-style room at the Civic Cultural Center.

Hanging scroll on the alcove is, "無事是貴人 - Buji kore kinin." It expresses gratitude for a safe and peaceful year and wishing to be safe until New Year's Day.

The flower for the alcove is a princess camellia. The buds are red and lovely, almost ready to bloom.

For sweets, prepared “Karukan” (Akashiya, Kagoshima).
